The following companies will be presenting:
Fidelity China Special Situations (LON:FCSS) Since its launch in 2010, Fidelity China Special Situations PLC has offered direct exposure to China’s growth story; from tech giants through to entrepreneurial small and medium-sized companies, and even new businesses yet to launch on the stock market. Portfolio manager, Dale Nicholls, finds more opportunities among small and medium-sized companies, where fewer investors leave greater scope for mispricing. However, the Trust has a flexible approach and may invest in larger companies if they fit his criteria.
JPMorgan US Smaller Companies (LON:JUSC) aims to provide investors with capital growth by investing in US smaller companies that have a sustainable financial competitive advantage. As the emphasis is on capital growth rather than income, shareholders should expect the dividend to vary from year to year. The Company focuses on owning equity stakes in businesses that the manager believes trade at a discount to intrinsic value, with strong management teams.
Serica Energy (AIM:SQZ) is a British independent oil and gas exploration and production company with a portfolio of North Sea assets, with a balance of gas and oil production. The Company is responsible for about 5% of the natural gas produced in the UK, a key element in the UK's energy transition. Serica’s production is materially cash-generative, and the Company has paid dividends of over £200 million since distributions began in 2020. Serica has a two-pronged strategy for growth comprising investment in its existing portfolio and M&A.
