Permanent TSB Group Holdings plc (PTSBGH) today announces the appointment of Hugh O'Donnell as an Independent Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. On appointment Hugh joins the Board Audit Committee and Board Risk & Compliance Committee. Hugh will succeed Ronan O'Neill as Chair of the Board Audit Committee on 30 July 2025. As announced on 28 February 2025, Ronan O'Neill will retire from the Board at the end of his nine-year term on 30 July 2025.

Hugh is an experienced leader and chartered accountant who spent a large portion of his career in senior finance roles at AIB Group, this included the positions of Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at AIB's UK division. Most recently, Hugh was Managing Director of Dell Bank International having previously served as its CFO.  Hugh has extensive knowledge of retail and business banking together with expertise in financial accounting, risk management, governance and oversight.
