DECEMBER 2024 TRAFFIC AND CO2 STATISTICS
CONTINUED POSITIVE LOAD AND EMISSION TRENDS

Geneva, 3 January 2025: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), one of the most sustainable European airlines, announces passenger and CO2 emission statistics for December 2024.
Wizz Air carried 5.06 million passengers during the month of December a 1.9% increase year on year. Seat capacity was down 3.1% YoY, resulting in a load factor of 86.5%, up 4.3ppts on last year's load factor of 82.1%.
During the month:
- The positive yield environment and booking profile seen in November continued into December.
- Early indications for our Q4 period, ending March 2025, remain positive, with bookings currently running ahead by over 2ppts vs this time last year.
- On December 31st, Wizz Air and Pratt & Whitney announced that they had agreed compensation terms related to those aircraft grounded due to issues with P&W's GTF engine.
- Broader negotiations on engine selection remain ongoing as Wizz continues to seek the most cost-efficient engine decision for its future.
- Wizz Air, as one of the leading airlines in terms of lower emissions per passenger, was pleased to report a further decline in CO2 emissions per RPK for this month, down 4.1% YoY, to 53.7 grammes.
