Appointment of Special Advisor to the Board

 

Kendrick Resources Plc (LSE: KEN), a mineral exploration and development company with projects in Scandinavia is pleased to announce that (Emeritus Professor) Michael "Mike" Johnson has been appointed as a Special Advisor to the Board on Environmental, Health, Safety and Community ("ESHC") matters.

Colin Bird, Executive Chairman of Kendrick Resources Plc, commented:

Background on (Emeritus Professor) Mike Johnson

(Emeritus Professor) Mike Johnson DSc. PhD., MTech., BSc. (DoB: 15.12.49) held the Rio Tinto Chair of Environmental Engineering at the University of Liverpool (1994-2008), where he was also Managing Director of the Industrial Ecology Research Centre. He remains a Legacy Sites Environmental Adviser to Rio Tinto plc. He is also an Environmental Adviser to Lundin Mining Corporation and New Boliden AB.

Professor Johnson was Chairman of Glebe Mines Ltd from 2001 to 2008, and held similar Director roles with TSX-V listed Columbus Copper plc, and AIM-listed KimCor Diamonds plc, Minmet, plc, Savannah Resources plc and Alecto Minerals plc during the period 1998-2016. Professor Johnson was, until recently, Chairman of Caerus Minerals plc.

Professor Johnson also holds 'call-off' advisory positions with British Nuclear Fuels and United Nations (Environment Programme).
