Dr Simon Beams to Present Wishbone's
Halo Project at the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Conference Comparing Geological Similarities to the nearby 5m oz Ravenswood Gold Mine
Wishbone Gold Plc (AIM: WSBN, AQSE: WSBN), today announces that Dr Simon Beams, the Managing Director and Principal Geologist of Terra Search Pty Ltd, will be presenting Wishbone's Halo Gold/Copper Project to an Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Conference ("AusIMM") in Cairns, Australia, this Thursday 27 May 2021. Terra Search Pty Ltd are Wishbone's principal Australian geological constants.
Dr Beams will be presenting recent geochemical/magnetic results and geological understanding of the project and will be draw comparisons to the geological setting and geochemical associations at the nearby 5 million ounce Ravenswood Gold Deposit.
Richard Poulden, Wishbone Gold's Chairman, commented, "Dr Beams and his team have done considerable work on understanding the geological setting on our Wishbone II tenement and will be presenting Terra Search's finding on our Halo Gold/Copper Project within this tenement to the annual AusIMM conference in Cairns this Thursday. About the Wishbone Projects - Queensland Australia
As previously reported regarding Wishbone II, high-grade surface rock-chip samples with assays at surface up to 25.2 grams per tonne gold ("g/t Au") have been recorded at the Hanging Valley prospect and 7.32 g/t Au were recorded at the Oaky Mill prospect on the licence.
The Wishbone II and IV Projects are a sizeable 13,700 hectare 100% owned group of Exploration Licences in the Mingela area located about 80km south of the major Queensland port city of Townsville. As previously reported by the Company, the area is bounded by a large shear zone structure along which historical gold mineralisation has been encountered.
The Wishbone II project is situated between two producing gold projects, Charters Towers Gold Project to the west and Ravenswood to the east.
