The company says order intake remains ahead of manufacturing capacity and continues to run strong into the first quarter of 2025. Chair Tony Morris says the group maintains its market share and continues to outperform wider industry declines, adding that Michelmersh is ‘well positioned for 2025 and beyond’ thanks to its premium product offering and resilient balance sheet.

Gross margin slips to 50% from 54% due to higher marketing and scholarship costs. Chair Daniel Chian says momentum is building and outlines plans for expansion in the UK and Asia, with Fairview aiming to capitalise on rising demand for IB education.

----------

EKF Diagnostics Holdings PLC - Cardiff-headquartered medical diagnostics company - Pretax profit triples to £6.3 million in 2024, from £2.1 million in 2023, despite revenue for the year declining 4.6% to £50.2 million from £52.6 million, ‘reflecting the previously reported move away from lower margin products’. Exceptional items were down to £352,00 from £2.8 million, other exceptional items were down to £22,000 from £1.3 million a year prior, and depreciation & amortisation decreased 15% to £4.7 million from £5.5 million. ‘The 2024 results reflect the positive effects of our rationalisation process and the benefits that a more simplified business with greater commercial focus on higher margin products and services can bring to the group,’ says Chair Julian Baines. Increasing market awareness of our value proposition also means that global market leaders are now approaching us to learn more about the benefits of high viscosity fluids,’ said Chief Executive Officer John Mills.
