Consumer price index inflation in Ireland decelerated in February, data published by the Central Statistics Office showed Thursday.

The country’s annual inflation rate decelerated to 1.8% in February from 1.9% in January.

On a monthly basis, Ireland saw CPI inflation of 0.9% in February after deflation of 0.8% in January.

On a harmonised level, which allows for EU-wide comparison, annual inflation slowed to 1.4% in February from 1.7% in January.

Monthly, harmonised inflation was 0.8% in February, compared to a deflation of 0.7% in January.
