Team17 Group PLC - Wakefield, England-based developer and publisher of video games, working simulation games, and children’s edutainment apps - Will change name to everplay Group PLC, effective in early February, with its exchange identifier changing to EVPL from Friday. Team17 says the name change reflects its growth since its 2018 listing into three distinct divisions within the video game and app industry. ‘everplay provides the group with a name that reflects its purpose to never stop playing, as well as its creative drive to deliver a lifetime of play,’ it says. Team17, StoryToys and astragon will continue under their own brands.
Turning to 2024 results, Team17 says it expects revenue and adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation to be slightly ahead of market expectations. It doesn’t say what it thinks these are; however, Shore Capital said consensus is £163 million for revenue and £42 million for adjusted Ebitda, roughly in line with its own estimates. This would up from £159.1 million revenue and £29.9 million adjusted Ebitda in 2023.
Team17 will release its full 2024 results in March.
