Coinsilium Group Ltd on Wednesday said it has appointed James Van Straten and Clement Hecquet as strategic advisors.
Coinsilium is an investor and advisor based in Gibraltar. The firm focuses on blockchain and cryptocurrency finance.
Coinsilium said the new strategic advisors will inform its cryptocurrency treasury strategy.
Van Straten is a senior analyst at CoinDesk, where he works on cryptocurrency market analysis, focused on Bitcoin and its interplay with macroeconomics.
Hecquet is the founder of Otomato, a Coinsilium portfolio company, and is also an expert in decentralised finance.
This comes as part of a wider trend wherein public companies are incorporating digital assets such as Bitcoin into their treasury management strategies.
Bitcoin reached an all-time high of over $109,000 on January 20, breaking its previous high of $108,000 recorded in mid-December 2024.
Coinsilium shares were up 51% at $0.07 in London on Wednesday afternoon.
