Botswana Diamonds PLC - Botswana and South Africa-focused diamond exploration & development company - Receives environmental authorisation from the Botswana Ministry of Environment & Tourism to drill two targets in the Kalahari in Botswana. The targets are close to its KX36 discovery, and have ‘great potential’ to upgrade existing resources in the area. The firm will aim to begin the drilling programme during the Kalahari dry season between April and October 2025.
Chair John Teeling says: ‘The receipt of environmental authorisation, following submission and approval of our environmental impact assessment, in Botswana is significant. We believe that further diamond discoveries will be made in Botswana, and we believe that the Kalahari will be the next diamond province in Botswana.’
