Petards Group PLC on Tuesday said its new subsidiary, Affini Technology, has been awarded a contract worth £400,000 to supply and install a new digital radio system.

Petards, the Guildford, England-based developer of advanced security, communication, and surveillance systems acquired Affini in June 2024.

Affini specialises in wireless communications and major communications projects, and is based in west London.

Petards said the customer required ‘strong and reliable coverage across a prestigious central London site’. It said the new system will be implemented to ensure the site’s ongoing operations are not interrupted.

It said first deliveries for the contract are expected to be made before the end of the year, with full installation complete in the first quarter of 2025. Ongoing maintenance will be provided for an initial three-year term.

Chair Raschid Abdullah said: ‘We are delighted that this new blue-chip customer has selected Affini to provide its new digital communication system at one of London’s most iconic locations, and we look forward to working with them in successfully delivering the project.’

Shares in Petards were flat at 9.00 pence in London on Tuesday afternoon.
