Pod Point Group Holdings PLC on Monday celebrated a ‘network milestone’ with its count of electric vehicle charge points passing the 250,000 mark.

Pod Point is the UK’s largest provider of EV charging units, with today’s announcement shifting the London-based firm towards its goal of one million customers by 2030.

Pod Point says most of its chargers can participate in the Energy Flex market without requiring upgrades. It claims this will keep the cost of green energy down for consumers and charging partners, whilst generating high recurring revenues.

CEO Melanie Lane said the expansion reinforced Pod Point’s ‘long-established track record’ in the EV market and its ‘relevance to the grid’.

Pod Point shares were down 2.6% at 12.10 pence each on Monday afternoon in London.
