Petra Diamonds Ltd, up 4.5% at 35.96 pence, 12-month range 25.00p-74.00p. The Africa-focused diamond miner recovers some ground after a four-day losing streak which saw it shrink 11%.

International Personal Finance PLC, down 1.9% at 132.50p, 12-month range 99.20p-166.00p. The stock extends its decline after a 3.6% fall on Thursday. On Thursday, the unsecured consumer credit provider said it expects annual pretax profit before exceptional items within guidance of £78 million to £82 million. ‘Our financial performance in the third quarter continued to be strong, with good growth in customer lending and receivables, as we implement our Next Gen strategy. The demand for our expanding portfolio of credit and insurance products is robust, and we continue to see very strong repayments and credit quality,’ Chief Executive Officer Gerard Ryan said.

Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC, down 1.0% at 110.26p, 12-month range 101.55p-134.00p. Shares in the investor in small Japanese companies follow Tokyo markets lower on Friday. The TOPIX index, which covers a large chunk of the Tokyo market, ended down 0.7%. Japan has an election on Sunday, with a Bank of Japan decision following on Thursday.
