Qinetiq Group PLC on Friday announced it has won a three-year contract with the Defence Digital unit of the UK Ministry of Defence.
The Farnborough, Hampshire-based defence technology company said the contract holds a potential value of £150 million, with an initial contract award of £39 million. It also included extension options of up to two years.
Defence Digital is responsible for ensuring that the UK military has access to effective digital products and services. The contract is part of its land environment tactical communications & information systems programme, which is designed to enable the British Army to make better-informed and more timely decisions on the front line.
Qinetiq will provide expertise in areas such as programme & project management, cost engineering, approvals, network security and safety engineering.

Shares in Qinetiq were down 0.9% at 442.60 pence each in London on Friday morning.
