Games Workshop Group PLC on Thursday named Mark Lam as the company’s new non-executive chair, effective from November 1.
Games Workshop is a Nottingham, England-based miniature wargames maker and retailer.
Lam has been an independent non-executive director of the company, and its senior independent director, since last year. He replaces John Brewis, who previously announced that he did not intend to stand for re-election at the next Annual General Meeting.
Lam has held senior positions in retail, telecommunications, and healthcare, including as chief technology officer of Openreach. He is currently chair of the Royal Free London hospital group and a non-executive director at Lowland Investment Company PLC.
Games Workshop will appoint a new senior independent director in due course.
Shares in Games Workshop Group were trading 0.3% lower at 11,020.00 pence each in London on Thursday afternoon.
