GreenRoc Strategic Materials PLC, up 15% at 1.55 pence, 12-month range 1.00p-5.00p. The mining company with operations in Greenland submits its application for an exploitation licence for the Amitsoq graphite project in South Greenland. Explains that the grant of an exploitation licence is ‘a key deliverable’, as GreenRoc looks to fast-track the development of Amitsoq into a producing mine in ‘the shortest possible timeframe’. Chief Executive Officer Stefan Bernstein adds: ‘Amitsoq being given ’project‘ status under the international Mineral Security Partnership is an important endorsement of our ambition to become a major producer of graphite active anode material from our graphite mine at Amitsoq and our planned AAM production plant located at Eyde Materials Park in South Norway.’

Surface Transforms PLC, down 72% at 0.40p, 12-month range 0.35p-27.95p. The producer of carbon‐ceramic automotive brake discs reports a loss before tax of £7.6 million for the six months ended June 30, widened from £5.6 million a year prior. Revenue rises 58% to £4.7 million from £2.9 million, while cost of sales increases to £2.1 million from £1.1 million. Expects third quarter revenue of £2.7 million, representing an improvement over the second quarter, but significantly behind plan. For the fourth quarter, expects revenue of £3.5 million, 40% lower than planned. Expected revenue for the full-year is £11 million, which is ‘significantly’ under current market guidance of £17.5 million.
