Revolution Bars Group PLC - Manchester, England-based operator of 65 bars and pubs under the Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba and Peach Pubs brands - Luke Johnson takes over as non-executive chair on Monday, replacing Keith Edelman, who retires after chairing the company since 2015. Johnson’s appointment as chair was first announced back April, when the prominent hospitality entrepreneur took part in a £12.5 million equity raise by Revolution. He has 300.0 million shares for a 20% stake. Johnson also is chair of AIM-listed Brighton Pier Group PLC. He was chair of PizzaExpress and an investor in Gail’s bakeries. His own bakery chain Patisserie Valerie suffered a high-profile collapse in 2018, the victim of a fraud.

Proton Motor Power Systems PLC - London-based designer and producer of hydrogen fuel cells and hydrogen fuel cell electric hybrid systems - Ali Naini resigns as chair and from the board immediately. Proton Motor Power gives no reason for the departure, nor plans for a replacement.

Itim Group PLC - London-based business optimisation software for store-based retailers - Hires Colin Price as non-executive chair, starting immediately. Michael Jackson steps down as chair but remains on the board as a non-executive director. Price is a consultant who was a partner at McKinsey & Co for 15 years. He is the co-founder of Talos Capital, an investor focused on artificial intelligence in financial services.

Assura PLC - Manchester, England-based healthcare property investor and developer - Hires Steven Noble in the new role of chief investment officer, joining immediately. Noble was CIO at Atrato Group Ltd, the investment adviser to Onsite Energy Ltd, which invests in solar energy systems, and Supermarket Income REIT PLC. The London-listed investor in grocery property notes Noble’s departure from Atrato. It says it will continue to be managed at Atrato by Ben Green, Rob Abraham and Mike Perkins.
