Vinanz Ltd on Friday announced the expansion of its Bitcoin mining fleet into Texas through a third-party host.

The British Virgin Islands-based cryptocurrency miner acquired its first three Antminer S21 200TH Bitcoin miners in a facility located in the Midland area of Texas.

Chair David Lenigas said: ‘Texas is the newest US State for our plans to expand our Bitcoin mining fleet throughout multiple US States and Canada. This time we have gone with Compass Mining Inc for hosting our miners in Texas.

‘Once we know these initial miners are working for us and we can see reliable hosting services, we will look to increasing our miners in Texas as soon as practicable. Compass is a sizeable bitcoin mining host in the USA and Canada, and we plan to use this new relationship with them to further expand our operations through their extensive network of Bitcoin mining sites.’

It follows considerable expansion activity in recent months after the company expanded its mining fleet into the US states of Nebraska, Indiana, and Iowa, and increased the size of its existing fleet in Labrador, Canada.

‘Whilst the company will focus initially on BTC mining, it will also consider the mining of other cryptocurrencies, and operations in the [Decentralised Finance], AI and Big Data space in the future,’ Vinanz said.

Vinanz shares were untraded at 12.88 pence each on the Aquis Exchange on Friday.
