Corero Network Security PLC on Friday announced a new contract win and the signing of three strategic channel partnership agreements in Chile.

The London-based cybersecurity firm which specialises in distributed denial of service protection said the channel partnership agreements with GreyMatter, Vista Group International Ltd, and NovaRed SL mark a ‘significant milestone’ in the strengthening and expansion of its presence in the Latin American market.

GreyMatter is a Chilean technology company specialising in digital transformation and software development.

‘In partnership with GreyMatter, Corero has immediately achieved a new customer win, securing a deal with leading Chilean telecommunications service provider Netline [Holdings Inc] which has selected Corero’s SmartWall ONETM software solution to enhance its DDoS protection and resilience in a rapidly evolving technological landscape,’ Corero said.

The partnership with film industry software solutions firm VGL will extend Corero’s reach into the media and entertainment sector, while the deal with NovaRed will help Corero benefit from its ‘robust presence’ across several Latin American countries.

Chief Executive Officer Carl Herberger said: ‘These new partnerships, in addition to our existing alliance with TechEnabler in Brazil, underscores our commitment to aggressively expanding our Latin American presence, alongside providing world-class DDoS protection and secure connectivity solutions across the region.’

Corero shares were up 1.6% at 19.45 pence each in London on Friday afternoon.
