Guardian Metal Resources PLC on Thursday reported good progress with recent drilling which has confirmed mineralisation.

The London-based metal exploration & development company has an exclusive focus on assets in Nevada, US including the flagship Pilot Mountain project.

At Pilot Mountain, drilling operations have been underway for three months with 17 drillholes completed for a total combined 2,396.2 metres, an increase from the planned 2,000 metre programme.

Work on drillhole 18 has now commenced.

Additionally, 13 drillholes have been completed at Desert Scheelite to support the pre-feasibility study.

Chief Executive Officer Oliver Friesen said: ‘Our drilling at Desert Scheelite has successfully intersected the mineralised skarn zones where expected and in multiple holes, within the hanging wall and footwall. In addition, and notably, drilling into Desert Scheelite Parallel West has confirmed the presence of a previously undiscovered strongly altered skarn zone at Pilot Mountain.

‘It is important to also note that to date, only two of the company’s multiple exploration targets identified have been drill tested, both confirming new mineralised and altered zones.’

Guardian Metal shares were down 5.0% at 36.00 pence each in London on Thursday afternoon.
