Van Elle Holdings PLC on Monday said it was chosen to be a delivery partner for Network Rail’s Southern Renewals Enterprise.
The Nottinghamshire, England-based ground engineering contractor was confirmed as one of the delivery partners for Network Rail’s £1.4 billion ten-year building and civils minor works framework programme for the Southern region.
Van Elle will carry out maintenance and small renewal projects across routes in Kent, Sussex, and Wessex as part of the framework.
Chief Executive Officer Mark Cutler said: ‘This is an important milestone for Van Elle; we typically deliver our services through tier 1 principal contractors with whom we enjoy high levels of repeat business, but as part of the Southern Renewals Enterprise model in this framework for Network Rail, we will be involved earlier, with much greater workload visibility. This will enable us to collaborate with other framework partners and assist in the early development of efficient solutions using our breadth of specialist geotechnical and rail engineering capabilities.’
Van Elle Holdings shares closed up 4.1% to 43.73 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
