Rockfire Resources PLC - Greece and Australia-focused gold, base metal and critical mineral exploration company - Says Sunshine Metals Ltd updates on farm in exploration at Rockfire’s Lighthouse tenement in Queensland, Australia. Sunshine discovers undrilled mineralised veins of over 3.5 kilometre strike length at the Double Event Prospect. Collects 13 rock chips, of which include 32.7 grammes per tonne of gold and 31.2 grammes per tonne silver and 25.9 grammes per tonne of gold and 35.7 grammes per tonne silver. Says is preparing to conduct high resolution magnetic and geochemical surveys at Double Event and two nearby prospects Lower Lighthouse and Bluff Creek. Sunshine may earn up to 75% interest in the tenement through expenditures of A$2.2 million, about $1.4 million, over 3 years.

Rockfire Chief Executive Officer David Price says: ‘It is pleasing to see progress being made at the Lighthouse project, and even more pleasing to see high-grade gold being encountered. Rockfire has previously drilled at Double Event but this sampling by Sunshine represents a new area which has not been drilled.

‘The targeting of high-grade gold at Lower Lighthouse and Bluff Creek is an exciting development, as historically, grades at these prospects are extremely high, with drilling returning [2 meters at 6.33 grams per tonne of gold and 4 meters at 5.91 grams per tonne of gold, respectively].’
