Cornish Metals Inc - developing South Crofty tin project in Cornwall - Hires Don Turvey as chief executive officer and executive director. Turvey will start on September 1, subject to a UK work visa being granted, as he will relocate to Cornwall from South Africa. Cornish Metals notes Turvey has more than 40 years of mining experience, including 20 years with BHP Billiton, the forerunner of BHP Group Ltd.

ValiRx PLC - Hatfield Heath, England-based life sciences company focused on early-stage cancer therapeutics and women’s health - Mark Eccleston joins board as CEO, replacing Suzanne Dilly, who will step down from the board on Thursday. Eccleston is a technology consultant who has served on the commercial and scientific advisory boards of ValiRx. His appointment was first announce last month, when ValiRx also announced the promotion of Non-Executive Director Martin Gouldstone to chair.

HSS Hire Group PLC - Manchester, England-based tool and equipment hire - Confirms Chief Financial Officer Paul Quested will leave HSS Hire at the end of August. Richard Jones becomes interim CFO from Monday. Jones currently is senior independent director of Alliance Pharma PLC and was CFO of Medica Group PLC, which was acquired last year.

Graft Polymer (UK) PLC - biopolymer drug delivery systems development; London-based arm of Ljubljana, Slovenia-based Graft Polymer doo - Yifat Steuer resigns immediately as CFO and from board. Says Orana Corporate LLP will provide the financial function while the company looks for a new CFO. ‘New board appointments are planned to steer the company as it pursues its mission to innovate in drug delivery solutions,’ says Chair Nicholas Nelson.

Woodbois Ltd - Guernsey-based trader of African timber - Promotes Johannes Bloemen to CFO, effective immediately. Bloemen has run the company’s finance function in Gabon since joining Woodbois in January. ‘As we consolidate disparate Woodbois offices and functions, he will assist materially in ensuring we are cost-effective, that our real-time reporting is first class, as well as helping to facilitate our growth, cash generation and profitability,’ says Executive Chair & CEO Guido Theuns. Bloemen replaces Carnel Geddes, who steps down as CFO and from the board.

Faron Pharmaceuticals Ltd - Turku, Finland-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical maker - Confirms Interim CFO Yrjo Wichmann as permanent CFO. Wichmann previously had been CFO from 2014 to 2019.

Zambeef Products PLC - cold chain foods and retail operations in Zambia, Nigeria and Ghana - Hires Patrick Kalifungwa as CFO and an executive director, starting on August 1. Kalifungwa had been CFO for Minet Zambia Insurance Brokers Ltd, formerly AON Risk Solutions, since 2017.

Eqtec PLC - Cork, Ireland-based waste-to-value solutions for hydrogen, biofuels, and energy generation - Jeffrey Vander Linden will step down as chief operating officer by the end of September. The COO role will move to a Spain-based ‘engineering management professional’, Eqtec says. Back in 2021, the company announced plans to co-locate operational management with its Barcelona-based engineering team.

Hornby PLC - Margate, England-based model railway maker and retailer - Hires Neil Sachdev to be non-executive chair, effective immediately. Sachdev is a former Tesco PLC and J Sainsbury PLC property executive who currently chairs HM Land Registry. Interim Chair John Stansfield steps back to non-executive director.

Auction Technology Group PLC - London-based auction market operator and technology company - Breon Corcoran steps down immediately as chair and from the board, having led Auction Technology through its London listing in 2021. Corcoran, who has CEO of betting firm Flutter Entertainment PLC until 2018, became CEO of spread-betting firm IG Group Holdings PLC back in January. Auction Technology promotes Senior Independent Director Scott Forbes to chair and Non-Executive Director Suzanne Baxter to senior independent director.

Oracle Power PLC - Western Australia and Pakistan-focused energy projects developer - Chair Mark Steed doesn’t stand for re-election as a director at annual general meeting on Thursday last week. Oracle Power gives no reason for the decision or plans for a replacement. ‘The board wishes to thank Mark for his contribution and support as chairman over recent years and wishes him well in his future endeavours,’ says CEO Naheed Memon.

Coats Group PLC - London-based manufacturer of industrial thread and footwear components - Hires Srinivas Phatak as non-executive director, starting on September 1. Phatak is deputy CFO & group controller at consumer goods firm Unilever PLC, having been CFO of Hindustan Unilever Ltd until 2021.

Tekmar Group PLC - Darlington, England-based technology and services provider for global offshore energy markets - Hires Lars Bondo Krogsgaard and David Kemp as non-executive directors, starting immediately. Krogsgaard was Onshore CEO at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, a Spanish-listed arm of Siemens Energy AG. Kemp was CFO of oilfield engineering firm and consultancy John Wood Group PLC.
