Cap-XX Ltd on Wednesday said it has signed an accord with National University of Singapore’s Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials to advance new technology research & development.
Cap-XX is a Sydney, Australia-based designer and manufacturer of supercapacitors and energy management systems.
Cap-XX said the collaboration will focus on the development of advanced substrates with improved performance characteristics, and the exploration of new materials and their applications in technology.
Cap-XX added that the partnership will offer NUS students practical industry experience. In turn, the firm expects a pipeline of ‘talented graduates’.
Chief Executive Officer Lars Stegmann commented: ‘By combining our practical industry experience with the institute’s academic prowess, we are poised to make ground-breaking advancements that will benefit a wide range of sectors’.
Cap-XX shares were down 7.1% to 0.32 pence each in London on Wednesday afternoon.
