NWF Group PLC - Cheshire, England-based specialist distributor - Hires Amanda Burton to be its next non-executive chair, replacing Philip Acton at the annual general meeting on September 26. Burton is a lawyer who was chief operating officer of Clifford Chance LLP. She is a non-executive director of HSS Hire Group PLC.

Northern Bear PLC - Newcastle Upon Tyne, England-based specialist building and support services - Picks Simon Carr to be non-executive chair, starting immediately. Carr replaces Harry Samuel, who was interim chair and will now revert to non-executive director. Carr was managing director of Henry Boot Construction Ltd, part of Henry Boot PLC.

Oxford BioMedica PLC - Oxford, England-based cell and gene therapy contract development and manufacturing organization - Hires Lucinda Crabtree to be chief financial officer, starting on September 2. Crabtree replaces Stuart Paynter, who will leave Oxford BioMedica after seven years in post. Crabtree previously was CFO of MorphoSys AG before its acquisition by Novartis AG last month.

VSA Capital Group PLC - London-based investment banking and broking - Marcia Manarin resigns as finance director, leaving no later than October 11 ‘in order to pursue a larger role’. VSA is searching for a replacement.

Big Technologies PLC - Hertfordshire, England-based remote people monitoring technology - Simon Collins resigns as non-executive chair, having led the company’s board since its AIM listing in 2021. Non-Executive Director Alexander Brennan becomes interim chair, as the company looks for a permanent replacement.

Chill Brands Group PLC - operates chill.com e-commerce website for nicotine-free vapour products and other wellness and recreational products - Confirms that Chief Executive Officer Callum Sommerton has been cleared of allegations of misuse of inside information in connection with the company’s equity raise back in January. ‘The board has concluded that Mr Sommerton has no case to answer and should be fully exonerated from these allegations,’ Chill Brands says. Appoints Nick Tulloch as non-executive director, replacing Scott Thompson, who is standing down at the company’s AGM. This is expected to be convened in late September but reconvened in November to review the company’s delayed annual results. Tulloch was finance director and then CEO of Chill Brands in 2019 and 2020. Chill Brands says it continues to seek to recover the chill.com domain and some trademarks that were transferred out of the control of the company by two directors, its former COO and chief commercial officer.
