Northern Bear PLC, up 1.5% at 62.41 pence, 12-month range 41.15p-67.00p. The Newcastle, England-based building services firm names Simon Carr as non-executive chair, with immediate effect. Carr was formerly the managing director of Henry Boot Construction Ltd, and sat on the executive committee of Henry Boot PLC. Accordingly, Interim Chair Harry Samuel returns to non-executive director, while Anil Khera steps down as non-executive director to provide the board with ‘an appropriate balance’ between executive and non-executive directors.

Oxford BioMedica PLC, down 0.6% at 341.12p, 12-month range 164.29p-460.00p. The gene and cell-therapy company names Lucinda Crabtree as its new chief financial officer and board member. Stuart Paynter will step down as CFO and from the board after almost seven years. These changes will become effective on September 2. Crabtree was previously CFO at MorphoSys AG.

K3 Business Technology Group PLC, down 7.4% at 88.00p, 12-month range 82.00p-126.00p. For the six months to May 31, the business-critical software solutions provider reports revenue from continuing operations of £15.5 million, down from £20.3 million a year prior. Pretax loss narrows to £2.8 million from £2.9 million, due to lower expenses, but loss per share widens to 6.6 pence from 6.5p in the previous year, due to a profit from discontinued operations that benefited the earlier period. Separately, names Oliver Scott as non-executive chair, replacing Executive Chair Tom Crawford.
