One Media IP Group PLC on Monday announced the launch of the ‘TCAT Protect’ app by is software-as-a-service subsidiary.
The Buckinghamshire, England-based digital music rights acquirer, publisher and distributor is offering a seven day free trial to interested stakeholders in the music industry.
‘Music rightsholders, record labels and artists are challenged with their music being illegally exploited on legitimate digital stores, which is down to audio modification and inaccurate metadata.
‘This not only violates ownership rights - it also results in unauthorised individuals profiting from their intellectual property, leading to revenue losses amounting to billions of dollars annually,’ the company said.
TCAT Protect aims to eliminate this problem and address the need for comprehensive tracking reporting and insights to strengthen the management of music rights on digital stores.
The app will offer real time monitoring, enhanced transparency, advanced fingerprinting software, as well as a consolidated view of data.
One Media shares were down 3.3% to 4.45 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
