DP Poland PLC on Friday said its outlook for 2024 was ‘exceedingly positive’ amid easing inflationary pressures as it reported a jump in revenue and narrowed loss for last year.

DP Poland is a Birmingham, England-based pizza delivery firm, which holds the franchise rights to the Domino’s pizza brand in Poland and Croatia.

The company said pretax loss narrowed 19% to £3.5 million in 2023 from £4.3 million in 2022.

Notably, revenue jumped 25% to £44.6 million from £35.7 million. Cost of goods sold increased 18% to £13.4 million from £11.4 million, while payroll & social charges came in 33% higher at £17.1 million compared to £12.9 million.

DP Poland highlighted that it opened four new stores in 2023 but also closed four underperforming ones.

Looking ahead, Chief Executive Officer Nils Gornall said: ‘The outlook for 2024 is exceedingly positive, supported by easing inflationary pressures and a supportive economic environment following recent political developments. We are committed to continuing our growth trajectory, focusing on delivering exceptional value to our customers and expanding our market presence.’

Further, Gornall said: ‘The transformations implemented across our operations have not only strengthened our market position but have also set the stage for sustained growth and profitability. Our strategy for the next 24-30 months includes an aggressive store expansion plan and transitioning towards a franchisee model, ensuring that Domino’s remains a leader in the quick-service restaurant sector in Poland and Croatia. The group is preparing to open around 45-50 stores and upgrade around 25-30 stores from our current network.’

Chair David Wild added: ‘We have built a very solid foundation to take advantage of the exciting opportunities that lie ahead and have a clear plan and strong team to exploit them. These are exciting times for DPP.’
