The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:
----------
Hydrogen Future Industries PLC - London-based developer of a wind-based green hydrogen production system - Timothy Blake moves to chief executive officer from CEO of wholly owned subsidiary HFI Energy Systems Ltd, effective immediately. Blake has led the subsidiary for the past two years. He is the company’s largest shareholder at 24.8%, but he won’t join the board. ‘Timothy is principally responsible for the development of what we believe will represent a game-changing performance improvement in the wind turbine sector globally, having completely rethought the traditional turbine model,’ comments Chair Neil Ritson. At the same time, Daniel Maling moves to chief commercial officer from executive director, and Fungai Ndoro steps down as non-executive director.
----------
Corcel PLC - Angola- and Brazil-focused oil exploration and production - Makes Scott Gilbert its interim CEO and an executive director. Gilbert currently is a consultant to Corcel and has 15 years experience in the oil and gas sector, with time spent in Angola and Brazil. Antoine Karam remains executive chair.
----------
Critical Mineral Resources PLC - exploration and development of clean energy metals in Morocco - Promotes Dominic Traynor to non-executive chair, replacing Christopher Lambert, who departed immediately just prior to Christmas. Traynor has been on the board for two years. He is a part of law firm Druces LLP. Critical Mineral Resources also announces its financial results for 2023. Pretax loss narrows to £1.1 million from £4.1 million. The company has no revenue. The narrowed loss is due to £2.9 million in net impairment losses on disposal of assets that were taken in 2022 and are not repeated.
----------
MC Mining Ltd - developing coal projects in South Africa - Chair Nhlanhla Nene steps down from board, effective immediately, having held the chair for two years. Provides no information on a successor. MC Mining says Nene leaves the company on a ‘more stable footing’ than it was in 2022, ‘with clear development plans for its large coal resource base’.
----------
AFC Energy PLC - Surrey, England-based fuel cell technology focused initially on construction and temporary power markets - Promotes Non-Executive Director Duncan Neale to senior independent director. The announcement is made as AFC Energy holds its annual general meeting on Thursday.
