Power Metal Resources PLC on Tuesday announced the successful completion of a drilling campaign in Botswana.

The London-based mineral exploration company completed the drilling of hole DDH1-14C at it Molopo Farms Complex nickel and platinum project.

An 832.6 metre hole was drilled, successfully intersecting with one of its high priority targets at the site.

Chief Executive Officer Sean Wade said: ‘Target area 1-14 has been of interest to Power Metal for some time due to the superconductor that was identified by multiple geophysical surveys. The previous drill holes completed into this area were unsuccessful in intersecting the targeted conductor, and now, with the completion of this drill hole, we have achieved this objective.’

The company now awaits further updates from its in-country team as they prepare samples for laboratory assay testing.

Power Metal shares were down 2.3% to 14.65 pence each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
