BATM Advanced Communications Ltd on Monday said that it has been awarded another contract from Cemex SAB for its Edgility edge computing and virtual networking solution.

BATM is an Israel-based provider of technology for networking solutions and medical laboratory systems, while Cemex is a building materials company.

The contract extends and expands an original agreement from 2021, when Edgility was selected as the virtualised operating and management system for Cemex’s new communications network. The latest deal extends the original five-year licence agreement by a further two years, and includes additional service provision to support the deployment.

‘We are delighted to have received this new Edgility contract from CEMEX, with whom we have a strong and productive relationship. It is a fantastic endorsement of our solution and demonstrates its value to them, and we are excited to continue to work closely with them. This licence extension also highlights the recurring and high-gross margin nature of Edgility revenue,’ said Chief Executive Officer Moti Nagar.

BATM Advanced Communications shares were trading 2.0% lower at 18.65 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
