The review will consider whether the venture capital trust should expand its investment strategy to allow investment in a wider range of securities. The review also will consider the implications of the likely takeover of a major shareholder in its investment manager. Amati Global Investors Ltd, the manager, is 49% owned by Mattioli Woods PLC, which last week agreed to a takeover offer from funds managed by Pollen Street Capital Ltd.
