AFC Energy PLC on Monday celebrated the successful factory acceptance test of its 30 kilowatt generator.
AFC Energy is a Surrey, England-based provider of hydrogen power generation technologies. Its shares were trading 6.1% higher at 17.45 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
According to AFC Energy, the 30 kilowatt generator, otherwise known as the H-Power generator, satisfied all contractual tests and requirements of the FAT under its agreement with partner, Speedy Hire PLC.
Speedy Hire is a tools and equipment hire services company. Following completion of the tests, the zero-emission generator is now ready for sale to Speedy Hydrogen Solutions, AFC’s hydrogen powered generator joint venture.
The firm added that not only are subsequent generators currently in assembly, but there has been strong interest from Speedy’s customers, with a growing pipeline established.
‘This is a major milestone in the delivery of AFC Energy’s first H-Power Generator to Speedy Hydrogen Solutions. We continue to see growth in demand for our hydrogen power generators across the UK and Ireland in partnership with Speedy, as industry continues to transition away from diesel and strive towards decarbonising operations for a more sustainable future’.
