Agronomics Ltd - Isle of Man-based venture capital firm - Says it has appointed Jim Mellon as its new chair, with immediate effect. Notes that Mellon succeeds Richard Reed, with Reed set to remain as an independent non-executive director. Mellon says: ‘My fellow directors and I would like to thank Richard for his invaluable contributions to our board during his time as chairperson. We are fortunate to benefit from Richard’s leadership experience, and look forward to continuing to work alongside him as we pursue our mission of building upon our portfolio of leading companies in the world of cellular agriculture’.

Atalaya Mining PLC - critical metals exploration and development company primarily focused on Spanish mining projects - Says it has agreed an extension to its services agreement with Impala Terminals Huevla SLU for a further five years. Says the original deal, for the handling, storage and shipment of copper concentrates from Proyecto Riotinto expired on Thursday. Adds that the new deal covers the concentrate volumes from the project that are not already committed to Trafigura Group’s offtake agreement. Says it will pay €12 million to Impala over the whole duration of the contract.

Bushveld Minerals Ltd - South Africa-focused vanadium producer and energy storage solutions provider - Says it has signed an option deal with Portillion Capital Ltd, for Portillion to subscribe for 44.8 million new shares at 3.0 pence per share, worth a total of £1.3 million. Adds that it has raised a total of £14.7 million in its fundraising, which it announced earlier this month. Notes that Portillion will have the option to subscribe for a further £1.3 million before February 28. Says Portillion has given irrevocable undertakings to vote in favour of Bushveld’s resolutions at its upcoming general meeting. Bushveld Chief Executive Craig Coltman comments: ‘We appreciate Portillion’s support of the restructuring initiatives and their endorsement of the resolutions being put to shareholders. This capital raise will allow us to fund capital expenditure at Vametco and Vanchem and to increase production.’

Eurasia Mining PLC - London-headquartered, mining and mineral exploration company, formerly focused on Russia - Says its dispute with its former legal advisor Gowling WLG UK LLP has been successfully resolved, and a settlement has been agreed and paid. Does not disclose details. Says winding up petition was dismissed on December 13. Chair Christian Schaffalitzky says: ‘We are grateful to our in-house team and our advisers that have successfully resolved the matter with Gowling’.

Molecular Energies PLC - oil, gas and alternative energy company - Says its repaired blow out preventor has successfully passed through Brazilian and Paraguayan customs after a ‘lengthy process’. Says the preventor is now at its drilling site in the Paraguayan Chaco, and is being assembled and will be mounted and tested. Adds that continuous drilling is expected to begin shortly after the Christmas period. Notes that service companies have been notified and will begin to mobilise to the site.
