Alkemy Capital Investments PLC on Monday said its subsidiary Tees Valley Lithium has secured technology and vendor partnerships to help advance its lithium refinery project.
The London-based company focused on acquisitions in the mining and technology metals sectors said
TVL has awarded preferred vendor status to JordProxa and Eurodia Industrie SAS for work on its Wilton lithium refinery in Teesside, North East England.
JorProxa will establish a hydrometallurgical process island for Train 1 crystalliser, which ‘utilises the standard causticisation process for the production of lithium hydroxide monohydrate.’ Meanwhile, Eurodia Industrie will build Train 2, which uses electrochemical processes to produce lithium hyrdoxide from lithium sulphate or lithium carbonate.
TVL will aslo collaborate with Queensland based implementer of engineering and renewables projects, Wave International, as a lead engingeering and technical partner.
Shares in Alkemy were down 2.8% at 116.67 pence each in London on Monday morning.
