BATM Advanced Communications Ltd on Monday said it secured an expanded, five-year order from NGA 911 LLC for its Edgility computing platform.

BATM is a Hod Hasharon, Israel-based provider of real-time technologies for networking solutions and medical laboratory systems. NGA 911 is a California-based provider of emergency connectivity services.

The new deal follows the ‘successful’ deployment of Edgility to NGA back in June for the use of its call-handling system for 911 Emergency Services and the 988 National Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Crisis Lifeline.

Edgility is used to facilitate enhanced responsiveness and faster call resolution times, and reduce the need for additional hardware.

BATM said it expects further orders from the emergency connectivity services provider as it continues to roll out Edgility across its networks in the US.

Chief Executive Officer Moti Nagar said: ‘It is great to receive this new order for Edgility, which follows the successful deployment of our edge computing solution under the original engagement. We have received excellent feedback from NGA regarding Edgility’s performance and this expanded order is testament to their satisfaction. We expect this momentum to continue as they roll-out our solution across more of their extensive network. Along with the increasing interest that we are receiving in Edgility from potential customers globally, we are very excited about the near-term prospects for this solution.’

Last week, the company confirmed it did not expect the recent developments in Israel to have a material impact on trading.

On October 8, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Israel to prepare for a ‘long and difficult’ conflict, a day after Palestinian militant group Hamas launched a surprise assault from Gaza. At least 1,400 Israelis have been killed since Hamas launched its large-scale attack, according to Netanyahu’s press office. Gaza’s health officials have reported at least 2,670 deaths from Israeli air strikes.

Shares in BATM were up 3.5% at 22.15 pence each in London on Monday morning.
