TomCo Energy PLC, up 19% at 0.065 pence, 12-month range 0.050-0.54p. The US-focused oil development firm raises gross proceeds of £100,000 via a subscription of 125.0 million shares at 0.08p each - a 46% premium to Thursday’s closing price of 0.055p. Says subscription is within existing shareholder, and shares represent around 3.9% of its enlarged share capital. Will use funds cover costs of developing Tar Sands Holdings II in Utah, via its Greenfield Energy subsidiary.

Ondine Biomedical Inc, up 10% at 8.00p, 12-month range 6.86p-29.19p. The Vancouver-based life sciences company says its Steriwave technology is now available in hospitals across Canada, with Nova Scotia’s largest hospital Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Nova Scotia now becoming the latest facility to implement the spray. Steriwave employs patented nasal photodisinfection technology to eliminate bacteria, fungi and viruses located on human tissues. ‘It is hugely satisfying that Steriwave is now available in hospitals from coast to coast across Canada, giving patients enhanced protection against post-surgical infections,’ says CEO Carolyn Cross.

Instem PLC, down 6.9% at 761.50p, 12-month range 580p-835.56p. Specialist healthcare industry investor Archimed SAS confirms its final offer for the life sciences IT company is 833p per share, valuing Instem at just over £200 million. The offer will not be increased, Archimed says. Instem had agreed to the private equity buyout at the end of August. The court and general meetings to approve the deal are scheduled for next Thursday.
