Zenova Group PLC on Monday said it has won its inaugural Zenova FP paint order for the solar panelled roof market in Greece.
Zenova is a London-based fire safety and heat management technology firm. Its shares were up 10% to 5.50 pence each in London on Monday morning.
The company said that the unnamed Greek customer is ‘a large international coffee producer with lots of warehouses across the globe.’
The initial order has a value of £39,800, Zenova added.
‘The selection and specification of Zenova products Zenova FP and Zenova IP paints by the customer is a validation of our fire-resistant technology, and our ability to help reduce the risk of fire spread to the external roof area should the solar panels malfunction. Zenova was able to offer a double benefit in that its Zenova IP product is applied as a topcoat to add protection to the Zenova FP product against adverse weather conditions whilst adding further cooling insulation benefits for the internal building temperatures,’ the company said.
Zenova added that the order ‘bodes very well for future business in this sector.’
Chief Executive Thomas Melchior said: ‘Zenova were able to respond to the customer’s needs, and offer a quick, economical and effective fire mitigation solution with our Zenova FP paint. We believe this will allow us to open up new markets and sales opportunities for fire protection and insulation solutions for solar panel roof installations.’
