Audioboom Group PLC on Monday said it has been ranked as the fifth largest US publisher of podcasts in two ‘key’ industry reports.
The London-based podcast provider said that this cements its position as ‘a major force in the world’s biggest podcast market’.
Edison Research ranked Audioboom fifth for weekly audience reach during the second quarter of this year, with Triton Digital ranking the company fifth for average weekly downloads for July.
‘The growth of Audioboom’s creator network is key to this US market success, with a recently announced record of 135 million monthly downloads and record audience reach of more than 38 million unique listeners,’ Audioboom said.
It added that only Sirius XM Holdings Inc and Amazon.com Inc are ahead of the company in both rankings.
Chief Executive Stuart Last commented: ‘I’m delighted that we continue to compete strongly with the world’s biggest audio companies in the key US market. We create incredible value for podcast creators through our monetization, marketing and distribution platform - attracting the best podcasts in the world to our network.’
Shares in Audioboom were down 2.5% to 194.95 pence each in London on Monday morning.
