ASA International Group PLC - Weybridge, Surrey-based microfinance lender - Confirms appointment of Karin Kersten as chief executive officer at annual general meeting on Thursday. ASA in February announced promotion of Kersten, then executive director of corporate development, to CEO as successor to Co-Founder Dirk Brouwer. Brouwer remains at ASA as deputy chair and special adviser to Kersten, the executive committee and the wider management team. Kersten joined ASA after leaving role as managing director of trade & commodity finance at ABN Amro Bank NV. She also has worked at Ormit Talent, Komgo SA and McKinsey & Co.
