Seed Capital Solutions PLC on Wednesday said it appointed Segar Karupiah as its new chief financial officer with immediate effect.
Seed Capital is a London-headquartered acquisition company, focused on businesses operating in market sectors with ‘strong’ environmental, social and governance credentials.
It pointed to Karupiah’s 35 years of experience in financial and accountancy roles, including senior executive roles at public limited companies more recently.
This included holding accountancy roles at Automotive & Financial Group PLC and Caledonia Motor Group PLC during the 1990s, after joining the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1986.
In the early 2000s, Karupiah also held operational roles at Lookers Southern PLC, Seed Capital said, before taking up directorship roles at Mobile Gaming Solutions PLC and Danmar Management Ltd, where he remains presently.
Seed Capital Chief Executive John Zorbas said he was delighted to appoint Karupiah.
‘Creating sustainable solutions to societal problems represents a key challenge for every company and every board of directors in today’s corporate world, and this is a factor that investors have become increasingly aware of,’ said Zorbas.
‘I look forward to working with Segar and our board to identify the very best ESG investment opportunities.’
Last month, Zorbas was appointed to his post as Seed Capital CEO, having been CEO at Uru Metals Ltd since 2014.
