Rockfire Resources PLC said on Tuesday it continues to discover strong zinc continuity from the results of the fourth drill of its geotechnical drilling programme at its Molaoi, Greece deposit.

London-based gold and base metal exploration company said that individual peak zinc values in the fourth drill hole were up to 17.6% zinc. Up to 91.8 grammes of silver per tonne were discovered, and up to 3.0% lead was found.

Rockfire stated that zinc, lead, and silver mineralisation was still being encountered in projected positions identified by historic drilling by the Greek government.

Chief Executive Officer David Price said: ‘It’s great to see confirmation of high grade zinc occurring in each hole being drilled by Rockfire.

‘Rockfire is committed to proceeding as quick as possible towards feasibility. The market will continue to be informed of our progress at Molaoi, including assay results as they are received,’ said CEO Price.

Shares in the were up 6.2% at 0.32 pence in London on Tuesday morning.
