The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Wednesday.
----------
SMALL-CAP - WINNERS
----------
XP Power Ltd, up 6.5% at 2,365 pence, 12-month range 1,402p-3,470p. Shares in the Singapore-based maker of power controllers rise ahead of its ex-dividend payment date on Thursday. In mid-April, it declared a first-quarter dividend of 18p, unchanged from the previous year.
----------
SMALL-CAP - LOSERS
----------
On The Beach PLC, down 6.4% at 102.40p, 12-month range 88.8p-251.95p. The beach holiday retailer extends Tuesday’s share decline, after its interim results fell short of market expectations. OTB had closed down 13%. In the six months ended March 31, revenue rose 38% year-on-year to £73.2 million from £52.9 million. Less impressively, pretax loss narrowed to £6.0 million from £7.0 million, which disappointed analysts who had been hoping for more progress on the bottom line.
----------
Tyman PLC, down 2.1% at 252p, 12-month range 182.4p-306.5p. Shares in the supplier of engineered fenestration components and access solutions to the construction industry fall as Peel Hunt cuts the stock to ’add’ from ’buy’.
