Cornish Metals Inc said it is on track to commission a water treatment plant at the South Crofty tin project in Cornwall in June.

The Vancouver-based mineral exploration company focused on mineral projects in south west England said it is targeting production at South Crofty in 2026. It added that construction cost for the mine water treatment plant remains in line with a previous guidance of £6.5 million to £7.0 million.

‘The metallurgical drill holes have encountered, highly encouraging tin mineralisation down dip of existing workings. Representative samples from each mineralized zone have been collected for assay, results of which will be released when received,’ the company said.

Cornish Metals shares were 9.3% higher at 15.30 pence each in London on Monday morning.
