Pod Point Group Holdings PLC, up 4.0% at 63.8 pence, 12-month range 46p-237.81p. The provider of equipment and systems for charging electric vehicles rises after the UK Department of Transport announces plans for thousands of new charge points across the UK. A total of 2,400 new charge points will be installed in areas such as Cumbria, Norfolk, Oxfordshire and West Sussex, with £56 million in public and industry funding.

Petra Diamonds Ltd, down 6.5% at 72.5p, 12-month range 72p-139p. The diamond company reports a fall revenue to $212.1 million in the six months that ended December 31 from $264.7 million a year before. Swings to pretax loss of £3.4 million from £62.7 million profit. Operating costs climb to $188.5 million from $157.1 million. Leaves production guidance unchanged, and says is ‘well-placed’ to capitalise of ‘supportive diamond market fundamentals’.

Restaurant Group PLC, down 2.2% at 33.2p, 12-month 25.02p-102.8p. The operator of UK restaurant and pubs notes a further press release from shareholder Oasis Management Co Ltd. Last Thursday, Oasis had asked for a seat on the company’s board, and for a strategic review to be undertaken by an independent bank. Restaurant Group had rejected the request but said it ‘welcomed constructive dialogue with [its] shareholders and will continue to engage with Oasis’. On Tuesday, the company says it provided a full response to the initial letter last week, and its next announcement will be its full-year results on March 8. ‘We look forward to updating our shareholders then,’ it says.
