Bezant Resources PLC - copper-gold and manganese project developer focused on Namibia, Botswana, the Philippines, Argentina, and Zambia - Provides an update on the maiden drill programme at its wholly-owned Kanye manganese exploration project in Botswana, as well as the Hope & Gorob project in Namibia.

Assays at the Kanye project include, 6 metres at 28.64% manganese oxide from 6 metres depth in hole MS-RC-12, 3 metres at 21.85% manganese oxide from 4 metres depth in hole MS-RC-06, and 3 metres at 21.20% manganese oxide from 2 metres depth in hole MS-RC-07. Explains that grades compare ‘favourably’ with reported grades on neighbouring, more advanced manganese projects and therefore the Kanye project ‘warrants detailed evaluation and drilling with a view to establishing the mineral resource potential,’ the company says.

In Namibia, a decision from the Ministry of Mines & Energy regarding the Hope & Gorob mining licence remains pending. An additional open put mineral resource estimate is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2023 to ‘complement’ the existing underground resource at the project.
