Hutchmed China Ltd - Hong Kong-based biopharmaceutical company - Says Orpathys drug has been included on China’s updated National Reimbursement Drug List, following negotiations with the China National Healthcare Security Administration. It was included for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer in adult patients with MET exon 14-skipping alterations who have progressed after or are unable to tolerate platinum-based chemotherapy. It will take effect from March 1.

Firering Strategic Minerals PLC - operator of Atex dual lithium-tantalum project in Ivory Coast - Begins large-scale phase II soil sampling programme at Alex lithium-tantalum project in Cote d’Ivoire. Identifies two new pegmatite zones, one on each side of the main strike. Takes 993 soil samples out of a planned 2,491 samples. ‘After the successful completion of our Phase I diamond drilling programme and partnering with Ricca for the next phase of exploration, I am pleased to announce that Phase II of our planned soil sampling programme started on 9 January 2023,’ Chief Executive Yuval Cohen says. ‘Particularly encouraging are the two new pegmatite zones found and mapped during the soil sampling exercise. Based on the current progress, we believe that our soil sampling programme will be completed ahead of time. I am looking forward to receiving the results and updating the market in due course.’

Galileo Resources PLC - mining company focused on US and Africa - Completes nine angled diamond drill holes at the Shinganda outcrop prospect totalling 1,227.2 metres. Confirms a supergene copper-gold mineralised gossan zone containing malachite, chalcocite, native copper and associated gold mineralisation. ‘The Shinganda prospect is demonstrating significant potential as a copper-gold exploration project, with very encouraging intersection widths from drilling to date. We are continuing to carry out pitting and trenching on additional nearby targets to demonstrate further potential within the licence area as we pursue our aim of drill testing several of these targets during the first half of 2023. Results to date show that the area is highly prospective, and we look forward to carrying out and reporting on the next phase of work,’ CEO & Chair Colin Bird says.

Spectral MD Holdings Ltd - London and Dallas, Texas-based predictive analytics for wound care - Says that the interim results for its diabetic foot ulcer clinical study initiated in June 2022 were positive. The diabetic foot ulcer study is currently running at five clinical sites in the US. Adds that its DeepView Wound Imaging System diagnostic accuracy calculated in the interim analysis improved five-percentage points to 86% on day one from the prediction of 50% diabetic foot ulcer size reduction by week four.
