Xtract Resources PLC, up 14% at 3.85 pence, 12-month range 3.11p-7.45p. Mining contractor Mutapa Mining & Processing Lda says first gold has been poured at the Fair Bride hard-rock gold mining asset in Mozambique. ‘The production was started with the introduction of low-grade ore to commission all parts of the processing circuit. The company will make a further announcement as and when the plant moves into regular production,’ Xtract adds.

Brand Architekts Group PLC, down 19% at 46.50p, 12-month range 46.20p-179.25p. The cosmetics company expects to post a fall in sales as a result of reduced customer confidence and challenges in the external environment. For the year ended June 30, Brand Architekts says sales are expected to be around £14.2 million, down 11% from £15.9 million the year prior. The stock hit this 12-month low on Thursday.

eve Sleep PLC, down 15% at 0.78p, 12-month range 0.52p-4.30p. The sleep wellness firm says sales orders tumble 19% yearly in the first half, with revenue down 17%. eve Sleep notes data suggests the wider market suffered an even-worse 30% drop. It notes industry promotional activity has hit margins. It will reap the rewards of recent cost savings in the fourth quarter, when overheads will be 30% lower than they were at the start of the year. eve Sleep also updates on its formal sales process, noting a ‘small number’ of parties are in due diligence.
