Helium One Global PLC on Monday reported progress at its Rukwa project area, ahead of its phase 2 drilling programme.

The helium explorer in Tanzania said it remains on track for a September spud, as it appointed a full drill crew at an advanced stage. Further, it started mobilisation of equipment from the lay down area to Tai-C well site.

TNR Ltd completed civils work on the well site and access road is now completed.

Helium One Global Chief Executive Officer Lorna Blaisse said: ‘We are very impressed with the high standard of work that TNR have carried out and we look forward to moving ahead into the next stage of the project. The team has been working incredibly hard and we will now commence the mobilisation of equipment onto the well pad and finalise the drill crew as we gather momentum ahead of the September spud.’

Helium One Global shares were 0.9% lower at 9.12 pence each on Monday morning in London.
