Sancus Lending Group Ltd on Friday said it wrote more loan facilities in the first half 2022 than it had in all of 2021.

In the six months that ended June 30, Sancus provided customers with £87 million in new loan facilities, more than in all of 2021, when it wrote £83 million in such facilities.

The Guernsey-based alternative property finance firm ‘expects that new loan facilities written will drive revenue growth in the second half of 2022.’

Liberum analyst Shailesh Raikundlia said: ‘Following a transitional year in financial year 2021, the group has started 2022 well with the first half of 2022 trading update evidencing early success in management‘s strategy to focus on expanding in the UK and Ireland, together maintaining loans under management in the offshore markets of Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar.’

Sancus Lending shares were 11% higher at 2.22 pence each in London on Friday morning.
